new stilo mw owner

Picked it up yesterday and so far very pleased with it , thought i would miss my punto hgt but to be honest i think i prefer the stilo . Have one slight problem with it when accelerating it sounds like the exhaust is blowing especially when driving down a road with parked cars ,took it to exhaust centre and they said it seems ok .it sounds ok when on tickover or when i rev it , it noticeable when the motor is under load . cheers Mick

Dont know about the exhast blowing but mine is slowly wearing the flexable bit though and blowing there a little. Might be worth looking at.

No i havent as yet . the noise cannot be heard when car is on tickover or being revved , it can only be heard when the engine is under load ie accelertating ,and cant be heard when cruising . seems to start at about 1.500rpm and stops at about 3000 rpm . could it be the crankshaft pulley ?? cheers mick

Oh cool. Got mine from Thurlonun Vauxhall in Yarmouth, they hadn't a clue what they were selling me other than the fact that it was a Fiat
At least Desira will be able to sort out any niggly faults a bit better for you than Vauxhall have for me (useless pillocks )
