Re: new stilo mw owner

car went into dealers to day , they havent found out as yet what the problem is but seem to think it could be something to do with the injection system . they put some fuel treatment in and told me to run it about today to see if that cures it ,if not its going back tomorrow for the technician to have a look at it . I did notice though that when i get a bit heavy with the right foot it kicks out a cloud of black smoke is this normall on a diesel ?? cheers mick

Normal for any diesel if it's been driven economically for a long time.

Might be worth checking the EGR valve. Block it off, then if no difference unblock it (use Search if you need more info)

Re: new stilo mw owner

Been without the stilo since thursday , got it back today they tested the fuel pressure and it was 50-60 bar which apparentley is lower than it should be. Turns out that number 1 injector was faulty so they have replaced the injector and pipe ,prob solved .
