Right, we want a Stilo Owners Meet II.

This thread will give you the opportunity to put your local knowledge to use and propose a good venue in your area for all Stilo owners to enjoy a nice day out.

I'll take the initiative and start with a date and time, Sunday 13th February a lunchtime meet.

Two options here, meet at Ferry Meadows, our local Countryside Park, there are lots of parking spaces, we could view the cars, talk, have a stroll around the lakes and then slope of to the local Frankie & Bennies for lunch!

Or, there's the Superbowl complex, we could meet in their car park, do the Owners Club thing and look at the motors, etc, then go onto having a game of Ten-Pin bowling and some lunch.

Right, that's me done, post up your ideas, champion your area, then we'll vote on a venue and the winner will be rewarded by not having to travel, good idea, or what ???

I'm expecting lots of activity on this thread, so get posting! Come along and be part of the Stilo community!

Yeah.. Ferry meadows; then to Frankie n bennie sounds like a great idea, that has got my vote! :)

Not to keen on Superbowl though as it is quite doggy leaving your car in the car park!! (n)

Trying to think of another idea, but there isn't much to do in peterborough! ..When ive though of another one ill post it :D

If you have one in the spring/summer then there's nowhere better to have it than Bournemouth http://www.bournemouth.co.uk/ ...there's so many places here... we have 3 F&Bs' , a bowling cinema amusements splashdown complex with pizza huts, american style bars.. theres loads of family pubs all over town....theres the best beach in the country (topless too for all you perves out there )...
there's also

The Bournemouth Eye

See for miles as the Bournemouth Eye takes you up to 500ft above Bournemouth and experience amazing panoramic views over the English channel and surrounding countryside for up to 20 miles.
The giant helium balloon takes flight from Bournemouth Lower Gardens.

Or you could just go somewhere else ;)

yeah pizza hut is good, espcially if we go at dinner time because they have a buffet meal deal offer tingy on; which is eat and drink all you can for £5.90p.p (and great for those who have kids)

note. there is one of these in peterborough too! (and most places in uk, hehe!)

The bournemouth eye; is quite a distance away from me and the other guys in p'borough! maybe meeting some where in the middle?!

Thinking about suggestions for a location..

... what about a good old traditional british day out at the seaside; fish and chips! Lovely job!

Amusements/bowling/fair ground/sweet shops (for all you big kids)/Beach

Could be held at a handfull of locations; Hunstanton, Skeggy (Skegness), Yarmouth!

We could locate a car park or monument in the area as a meeting point!!

I love Bournemouth - Jules and I used to go every year for a week, stayed in a family-owned caravan just outside Christchurch [Tall Trees park, iirc]. Haven't been for a few years now, but it is my FAVOURITE UK beach venue :)

Haven't been to Ferry Meadows for years and years [probably last time when I was at school  ].

Not too keen on a seaside meet in February - damn cold, lol.

And Pizza Hut's buffet menu is only available Monday to Friday lunchtimes ;)

Now I shall go away and think of some more ideas...........

Go for it.........................

I've never been to Northampton, only once, about ten years ago if I recall a place called Stakis ??? A works night out. Never been in daylight though, mind you if it's as grim as Peterborough, that's no bad thing!

Come on Stu, champion your locality, give us a good day out in Northampton!

Re: Go for it.........................

The Stakis? Wow, a blast from the past. There used to be a Stakis Hotel just off J15 M1 [now a Hilton, possibly]. Not sure if the town centre casino used to be one, it changes hands so often.....

For Northampton, main entertainment area over at Sixfields stadium, with bowling alleys, cinemas, etc. Was also recently recommended the Hungry Horse chain - will probably check it out soon, but all part of same complex. You ever been to one? There are also a few other diners and pubs nearby.

Northampton is also one of the easiest places to get to - just off J15-16 of M1, A14 just north of the town, and M6 about 20 miles away.

Where's Purplemonkey these days?
I'm still here, i've been following your lead and getting stuck into a DIY projector two...

Have ripped out and rewired the kitchen, brother-in-law has fitted the new one and I'm in the middle of tiling it (floor and wall).

Also in the process of getting the spare room finished off so we got a study/guest room as the current spare room has been designated as the nursery (yet another project to complete before May 22nd...)
