My Stilo has been showing signs of Drop Link failure with all the usual symptoms, I went to order the part and I thought I'd just take a look first....well.... it turned out to be N/S steering rack end joint with loads of play in the joint, changed it got it all tracked up and the rattle has all gone.......It displayed all the classic Drop Link signs so it always pays to check first.:slayer:

Was the car wandering ..classic track rod end ware that one ..dead give away..:)

Nope not at all.....thats why i thought drop links, drop links are tight with no movement but as soon as i pulled on the steering arm I thought right away thats that noise I can hear, the steering always seemed fine to me but when i got the old part off I don't think it was badly worn but just enough for movement and to hear it knocking, I will se how it goes but it already seems quieter with no knocking.
