I dont know if anyone else has had this, tis kinda weird!

I was driving the other day sat in a queue, in a split second 'Loose Connection' flashed up on the computer, 7 warning lights came on (including ABS, handbrake, oil, temperature etc) my speedo and rev counter stopped working, and the turbo doesnt kick in at all! The city button also seems to stay on even when it isnt pressed... my local garage has had it for a week now and cant sort it out. I have to take it to an auto electrician which could be pricey.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem? If so what was it down to??

I had the same a couple of months ago it was a mixture of nackered battery and a bad earth between the engine and battery I changed the battery and ran a earth lead from the neg terminal to the engine block and it's worked perfectly hope this helps

That sounds like a nice cheap fix to me i might give it a go, not really an electrician though and dnt wana screw it up more. Is it an easy job to do that? How much was your battery? Thanks for the advice

It should be easy for your garage to check the earths for you. Unfortunately the Stilo has quite a few! As mentioned above one of the main earths under the battery to the engine has been known to fail, just clean it up or replace it.
