Hello all, my Stilo headlight adjuster motors have never worked since i have owned the car. And i have been doing alot of research to find out how to fix it myself. As alot of you all know Stilo headlight adjuster motors dont last long and are common thing to go wrong. Well this is because (and i know not in all cases) the motors rust up. You only need i little bit of moisture. Mine did not have the covers as the muppet befor me had put HID's in and forgot / lost the covers . Anyway i rang Fiat for a quote of £68.00!! EACH!!

Did a search on here and found people using other car motors and adapating them to fit. Well i have found a motor you dont have to adapted to fit, and cheep! :D

VW part number is 1J0 941 295A. And there Under £30 each. Bolt and plug strate in.

Hope this helps some people.

I did get some covers from Fiat at £16 each and have also removed them Dam HID's as they are poo in Stilo's. Now my Stilo lights up the road infront without blinding other road users (y)

Thanks

Leighton

Thank you so much i have the same problem. I'll take off the bumper and the weekend and see what the problem is. It is nice to know there is a relatively cheap alternative to Fiat parts without having to go down the breakers route.

I have problem with left one. it is working i can hear it. but when it is not moving headlight, i think it is out . Is there any quick solution not to take off front bumper

I'm going to take out the battery and battery tray and inspect the motor. It may have come detatched. Otherwise the solution is the remove the light cluster which means you need to take off the bumper.

Not really.

Bumper off will probably be easier and quicker (y)

Same part is also use on the skoda 1.8T so you can use skoda for the part as well..:)

Does anyone know where I can order this part online?

Many thanks...

Hi guys im new to the forum

I have the same problem on my stilo 19 jtd 04'. I have found a web site that sells the part but do I just get two units the same or do i need a left and right version of the unit??

In koopturbo's original pictures it looks as if the two units are different...

The wepart is for sale at allpartssouthwest.com
under GOLF Mk4 98>09/03
£29 each inc vat :)

thanks

Alek - are you sure the GOLF Mk4 98>09/03 part is the same as it doesn't look to have the same fixing holes? The part number suffix is 'A' in the original post and those ones are C etc

Hmm Ics19 good shout. I didnt really think they would be much different but thinking about it i better not chance it.
Anyone know where i can get some of these exact units? I can only find american sellers with them in stock
would prefer to get them in the uk
