Just to say thanks for all the info in this thread and in the guide in the guides section.

I've just replaced mine and it is really like a different car so much smoother!

A couple of points though:
I have a slightly different ABS unit which made it a bit more difficult to get to the side bolt at the back
I also found that both side bolts only need to be loosened and not removed for the mount to be removed

All in all its a pretty easy job if at times a little bit fiddly.

Prices:
£54.20 inc vat for the new mount
£118.40 inc vat for new mount and fitting from local Fiat dealer (Saved the fitting money by fitting it myself and bought myself some ratchet spanners)

And whatever i do, i can't fix it in the middle, so the mount is always under pressure and i have awful vibrations only in iddle. They shake pretty well the car.

I also want to say FANTASTIC forum value, got the one offending gearbox mount changed and all the vibration, noise and harshness has gone away. As said before, like a new fresh car.

Price was £59 including VAT for the part.

I watched my mechanic fit the thing and to get it centred you have to play around with the jacking to take the pressure off to allow it to centre.

Just an update on my rattle.

I had it looked at locally and yes, it's the Gearbox mount (51711216 - Fiat quoted £61.87), and Stabiliser link underneath..?? (46781893 - Fiat quoted £45.12 ).

Guy at Fiat said these parts can only be purchased via Fiat. Fiat also quoted me £121.49 for fitting.

Guy who diagnosed the problem said £50 for fitting.

Will get it done in the next two weeks as guy said it's not an immediate problem. It's just annoying.

This thread and subject had been viewed nearly 12,000 times since it's been running!

That's a lot of views, which indicates to me that that Fiat's must rattle a hell of a lot.

Quick question - could you check the price of the O/S mount for me, as I have part 51776846 as ~£80+VAT from my local FIAT dealer (depreciated part code 46847852 comes up at £57.20 on my old ePer v16 for the same part?). My N/S mount - which I'm collecting tomorrow - was £43.32+VAT from my local dealer. Cheers!!

Agree, that price is wrong. My local dealer is now quoting £93.74 + VAT (!) for that part
