I do not have a handbook as the garage had lost it and promised to send it on...still waiting. So could somebody advise on what the correct tyre pressure should be on 215/45 17" tyres please?

John(y)
PS
With no handbook any idea where I could get one from or even a pdf of it for reference????

I run 37psi front and 34 psi rear. I run the fronts higher to account for the heavy 2.4 in mine. If yours is anything other than the 1.9 or the 2.4, I'd run 34psi all round (y)

2.3 bar front and rear..but an increase in pressure does help to elevate front tyre ware as greggers has already said..I ran my fronts at 37psi as well..(y)

Yes; higher pressure = less tyre wear = improved mpg (y)

but also = less contact with road = less grip (n)

...and that could be critical on these cold winter nights :(

Hi! Im new to Fiat Forum, i just purchased some new alloys for my fiat stilo active sport 1.6 on the alloys i have 205/40 ZR 17 84W
i was wondering what should the tyre pressure be on them, would the tyre pressure be the same as the one previously mentioned.
thanks

You've got a very odd-ball tyre setup there

Nearest I'd recommend is :

32psi all round (normal)
36psi front & 35psi rear when fully laden

For what it's worth, FIAT's recommended pressures for the Stilo Schumacher (which also has 40 profile tyres, albeit 215/40 x 18) are 37psi front 34psi rear. But the five cylinder engine's a bit heavier than your 1.6 I suspect...

What is the recommended tyre pressure for the 1.4 16v active on standard 15"steelies. Somebody told me 28psi but that sounds a bit low tbh.:yuck:
