Hi.

For the front brake caliper pins, can anyone confirm if the torque tightening value for the front brake caliper pins is 7 Nm as stated in the eLearn tables or is it 70 Nm? Seems rather low or high respectively, or am I the only one that has trouble with decimal points and values in this manual?!!

Any advice appreciated.

Best regards
Mike

Are you sure it doesn't say 7 daNm? If so, then it's deca Newton Metres which is the 70Nm like you thought (y)

I'll check eLearn now as well...

Hi Greggers
Great. Many thanks for your assistance with this.
It's the Italian, I could only find a definition of "da" as meaning "by"!
Thanks to you it now makes sense. I must retorque before they drop off!
Other references to the caliper bolts simply said they should not be too tight, perhaps a little understated.

Although it's not mentioned, I'd better use some thread locking compound; there was evidence on the bolts on one side only, but I know my car was manufactured between holiday periods.

Thanks again.
Best wishes for Christmas.
Mike
