(G) Big Black Stilo is no more

as of tuesday, my black stilo 1.2 active will be gone, and i will no longer have a stilo.

After a month of looking at focus', Golfs, Astras, and trying to move away from fiat i finally picked a car and bought it. It had to be a good replacement for the stilo and be as new as possible and have as much warranty and as much toys that i could afford. As much as i loved my Stilo, it had issues that never really went away, so wanted something more reliable and stable for a bit.

So after looking at all these other types of cars i went mental and I got me an 08 bravo 1.4 t-jet sport 150 in maranello red with those grey 17" alloys on, full Bravo mats and the add on sports pedals with 3.5k on the clock.

Should be some fun!

Well, roll on tuesday when i pick it up, when i will no longer be big black stilo but big maranello red bravo.

Doesnt have the same ring, so i will stick to big black stilo

Well good for you BBS. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun. See if you can wake up the new Bravo section, they haven't even got a Bravo guide section up and running yet
So the new Bravos either have nothing at all going wrong with them ( Yeah right)

i'll get it sorted! evolution takes time!

i'll still be popping on here now and then, but i will have no reference (ie car parked on drive!)

I do have some spare parts i'll possibly be putting up in classifieds soon (1 rear bush and bolts, anti rattle clip kit, head unit fascia with Stilo badge on it) leaving my stilo mats in it as they are worn and not worth selling, and rear guards are staying on as one hides damage caused when i ripped one off!

i'll be sad to see it go but i cant give it a proper goodbye as i havent really driven it much the last month, and its last run will be to the dealers. On sat it was a case of i loved the bravo, but the stilo felt home, until all the little niggles came about, and i remembered why its going

Don't forget to keep us posted on how it compares although it's a bit like chalk & cheese (0-62mph: old Stilo = 13.4, mew Bravo = 8.5)

You didn't consider the Fiat Bravo 1.9 MultiJet 120 Active Sport then?

A lot more economical plus you can remap it if you want a bit more punch

I did, however a lot of the short journeys i do now are in the saxo, so it cuts the mileage on my motors by a long way. i also couldnt refuse the price on the bravo, it was cheaper than the multijets i drove, and makes a better noise too!

....so how are liking driving a turbo

congrats on the new purchase, always had a soft spot for the bravo! Just couldnt affoard the 150 m'jet sport at the time i got my GP a few grand over my 10k budget! Next time round maybe, hope it serves you well

1.8, you should have waited, nows the time to buy, its an 08 plate and i got it for not much more than £10k!

the stilo pics were taken about 2 minutes before it got dropped off at the dealers.

as much as i like the bravo, i loved my stilo and i really want it back but it wasnt very well and needed to go

I know what you mean BBS - based purely on the pictures you've taken - I'd want to drive your Stilo away You've obviously kept it in tip top condition even if the mechanicals ARE poor

I expect you'll soon forget her though

it wasnt an easy choice. its annoying that i have kept it tip top but it repays me by breaking.
