(G) Minor damage - how much?

its not been my cars week

first of all when i was ill i caught the lower front bumper on a wall (see pics)... and then the gardener went and caught the front of it with his van today

he was reversing into a space which he fitted in just infront of my car, which was parked in the doctors surgery inlet which we are allowed to use. my dad is the maintenance handyman there

he backed in at the front, and opened his door, with his side loading door he decided to drive forward... catching my front rubbing strip and numberplate with it

how much am i looking for a new rubbing strip (possible scrappies?)... and how do i remove/refit it

he is going to pay however much it costs because the surgery (and my grandparents) do provide him with most of his business.

oooooo ouch- mine has those scrapes underneath too- i did mine on a fancy rockery type wall a few years back.

if the gardner holds his hands up- new bumper time!

The bump strips should just pull off as they'll be clipped on. scrappies (although not many Stilos in scrappies) or FIAT.

the scrapes on the bumper spose you could use a touch up but your looking to get it resprayed to get it done properly. expect to pay around £150 for respray.

i might just leave the scrapes on the bumper as they are i will be keeping the car a while yet so it will probably pick up a few more knocks along the way, and just touch it up with a pen me thinks

as for the bump strip, if hes paying, i might as well get a new one from the fiat dealer and get them to fit it if hes paying

and to fit it i just pull it off apparently and re-attach

why? he didnt knacker the strips

right, so the gardener reverses into my car and rips a bit out of the bump strip..... making my car look untidy... its a damaged part he should pay, why should i pay for something hes damaged

and hes offered to!

in that case trick him to believing its al one part and get a new bumper!
