New Stilo JTD owner.. front vents not working ?

Hi all,

New to this forum so go easy on me. I've just bought a 53 plate Stilo Dynamic 1.9JTD. I've noticed that the air vents at the front don't seem to blow air out, the ones at the top and at the footwell are fine. I'm assuming it will be a blockage somewhere but does anyone have any ideas ?

Also the boot lid but on the remote key fob doesn't seem to open the boot lid.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers
Adam

First off... welcome! You've come to the right place if you have questions about your Stilo... there's always an answer here... even if it is the wrong one

Air vents... do they work at all if you only select the air to come out of the eye level vents? If not, then I'm afraid that it's most likey the air flow control flap has broken inside the unit behind the centre console. You'll have to get the whole unit replaced I'm afraid... unless you can find a midget who's a dab hand with super glue

If you select the eye level vents and either foot or windscreen vents as well, the eye level ones are quite weak... just a bit of info for you in case that's all it is.

Boot release on the keyfob... have you held it down for a couple of seconds? It doesn't work if you just press it like the lock/unlock buttons

Hi Greggers,

Thanks for the reply. Just checked again and when the eye level fan is on alone just a little bit of air comes out. Also checked the boot and you are right the button needs to be pressed for second or two .... dohhhh !!

Cheers and official forum thanks left.

Hmmm... that's not good news as it's really powerful when just the eye level ones are selected and the fan put to full. The other thing that might be worth checking is the pollen filter ans this can massively restrict air flow. Check out the guides for the Stilo above and have a look. Hopefully, tat'll sort your problems

Cheers for the thanks, always appreciated
