Re: Stilo 1.9

Generally, if the car has been looked after by the previous owners, the car should be quite sound.

Is it a 3 door or 5 door, 80bhp or 115bhp model, what trim level?

Have a look around these forums for the problems that can occur, but dont be scared of by some of them

Private or Dealer?

Re: Stilo 1.9

overboost valve not in right place and causes engine fault and turbo to die.

inner tyre wear

aircon pipe broke

heaters blowing cold through drivers side and warm through passgeners

I had an 03 plate JTD and all those happened

Re: Stilo 1.9

Hiya
had 02 plate 115bhp, most expensive problem was with flywheel over £600 replace clutch & flywheel. Recognise by heavy judder on releasing clutch. Just bought 1.9jtd multiwagon and haggled 12 months insurance backed warranty!

It was 3 door & a cracking car, returned 62mpg on a long trip to Italy

Re: Stilo 1.9

Missus has spent £600 on hers this year, 2 new front springs, 2 new wishbones, 2 new front shocks, 2 new drop links, 2 new front tyres. She's the only owner since new, but suspension not up to much, check for knocks and creaking. Electrics perfect, no probs. Aircon never fails. Overall the 115Bhp JTD is a good car, just need to look after it.
