| Whaddya mean too old? | Re: throttle body update Well an update is an update, who knows what improvements might be in there. Maybe smoother throttle response, maybe less unnecessary warnings by changing trigger parameters. Like most updates it's meant to be an improvement- just look at MS Vista Ha!

![]() 70 quid is a bit much, they normally charge you 1/2 hours labor for something like that. Try another dealer or a Fiat specialist near you who have examiner.

| *custom name* | Re: throttle body update yea thats what i though, it shud take only half hour but from the sounds of them i think they will make it last the hour or just do it wait and still charge me the full hour, dont like this fiat dealer, had 2 actually convince them that the stilo has a pollen filter lol

quite often the case as there is a minium charge, often this is waivedfor good customers or heavily discounted.

| *custom name* | Re: throttle body update mmm, well im not mad on paying 70 quid on something ive nothing 2 show for tbh, i think i will look at other fiat dealers and see will they do it for half an hour as it is just a flash and next to no labour involved

Thanks: 38 Trader Rating: (0) Drives: | Re: throttle body update No labour? Not true, the examiner has to be connected and monitored in case the reprogram goes wrong, it cant just be left and ignored. With a recent reprogramme I did on a doblo it took 70 minutes to carry out the update, purely because the ecu wouldnt accept the update correctly.

| popping out | Re: throttle body update i agree they have to charge something and like T said examiner is expensive, £3500 a year subscription or something close to that? But half an hour seems reasonable to me if the update goes ok and doesn't take too long.
