| Hi All, First post here ![]() Hopefully I'm only 24hrs away from Stilo ownership, if the negotiations go well tomorrow ![]() Has anyone here got a 54 plate Stilo Abarth with a Dension Gateway 300? Do the steering wheel controls work ok? Am I right in thinking the head unit for this year is a Blaupunkt (CDC-A08). Or is it the usual Italian lucky dip in terms of which head unit is likely to be fitted. Or should I just replace the head unit and get steering control via InCarTec? Cheers Dobbin

| Re: Newbie Dension I have a 52 plate Abarth with a Denison Gateway 100. Installed it all a few weeks ago. First off the ipod wouldn't link to the GW100, but I could still change tracks etc.. on it. Then all of a sudden it did link up, the ipod screen changed and showed the Denison screen and all was working fine for about a week. Now, its gone back to not picking it up again for some reason. I've not changed anything as far as I know, and cant work out from Denison's instructions how to change the source of where the ipod is controlled from!? ![]() But, I can still use it, the steering wheel controls still change tracks and I can still change albums too, but it wont remember what track it was at if you switch off and back on again!

| Re: Newbie Dension Hmm This sounds similar to an experience I had a while ago with my iPod and an Alfa. The play, next and previous buttons would only work sometimes. Took the adapter back to Alfa and they got a different one from Italy. Plugged that in and it worked a treat. Something to do with different types of head unit and firmware. Whenit's not working properly can you only select tracks using the iPod? Think I may see if there's a Fiat part for this.

| has pooped his pants | Re: Newbie Dension If you have the Connect Nav+ system, you can hit the setup button 4 times which wil reboot the unit. The Dension should work perfectly after this... that's what I've found anyway!

| Re: Newbie Dension Guys, Just a quick update.... I finally spent 10 mins playing around with this trying to get it to work, and I have. If your iPod is plugged into the cradle, and does not show the Dension screen on it, then its running in iPod mode, and not Changer mode. To switch it to Changer mode, so the Dension screen displays on the ipod, you need change this from within Menu 6. With the ipod in the cradle, switch on the head unit and let it boot. Select CDC using the button on the head unit. It should automatically default to CD#6. Now what you need to do is press the play button on the head unit, and then straight away go forward to track number 3 (while it thinks its playing). This will now put it into CD Changer mode rather than iPod mode, and your iPod will now diaplay the white Dension screen. Job done!
