| New Clutch for a Selespeed After a few niggles regarding my selespeed box I've got it checked out and I need a new clutch. The nice man told my wife it needs a new clutch and the computer needs re-programming to accommodate the new clutch. This comes with a price tag of around £600 - £700 but this was only an estimate. Is this a load of crap and a rip-off? The car is 02 plate and done 90K and to my knowledge hasn't had a new clutch before. Thanks for any help.

| Re: New Clutch for a Selespeed I'm in Redditch. The only honest person I spoke to said he would probably need to move the manifold to get to the clutch the same as Alpha Romeos but he worked from a small factory unit that didn't have a computer or a toilet so thats a no go.

Thanks: 38 Trader Rating: (0) Drives: | Re: New Clutch for a Selespeed The selespeed clutch needs the gear actuator to be removed before hand, gearbox out, clutch replaced, refit gearbox and actuator. Then the clutch actuator needs resetting, the gearbox actuator then needs end of line calibrating and then a final clutch calibration during roadtest. If you dont do the end parts with examiner then you are seriously in danger of buggering up your gearbox or clutch.
