Yup, you're quite right - which is why if I ever get a 150 Mjet over my current JTD the Eibach springs and rear struts are transferable but the front struts would need to be sourced elsewhere, Bilstein being a good choice IMHO

Question Re: Brakes/Lowering

So the difference, between Abarth and JTD, is purely strut design rather than any difference in damper rating then?

Lightbulb Re: Brakes/Lowering

I can't say for sure to be honest, but I'd say that's spot on.
I do know that the 150 Mjet/Abarth share front struts and brakes - both are different to the 115/120 JTD/Mjet

Re: Brakes/Lowering

I emailed them this morning just to double check and they say that they are for 01-06 Abarths! The price is £469 ... is it just me, or is that different to this morning? (am I having one of those days?)

The service is on the 26th, so I will need them by the end of next week. I'll look around for maybe another day and then get them ordered if there doesn't seem to be a better option.

Nope, it's not just you. I thought I was losing this morning when I looked and saw that it had suddenly gone up about £100. So not funny...

Re: Brakes/Lowering

I just realised that I still had the Gazzella.cc webpage open on my Mac. The price for the Koni SSK kit for the 2.4 yesterday was £392... the price now is £469. That truly sucks

I don't think that includes VAT though as it says that it gets added on at checkout for private purchases. Might be worth staying with Europerformance who are doing it at £520... can't be arsed to do the maths to see if it's actually cheaper or not but it'll be close.

It's £542 if you include the VAT... I was bored okay!?

Re: Brakes/Lowering

I don't think that I will go for the coilover tbh - they say that the height is adjustable, but I want to keep it 'high' (well, 30-40mm) so that I (hopefully) don't end up like a beached whale on a speed bump. I guess playing with the rebound on the Konis would be a bit of fun too

I have emailed EuroPerformance as they say their kit is only for 01-03 models where as Gazzella say theirs is for 01-06 models ... both on the same SKU code

What happens if the suspension is not 'made' for the car? Does it only support a certain amount of weight, or are there different 'connections' or something?

the suspension was never changed on the 2.4's mate, it dont matter

the coilovers may be adjustable, but come with 35mm springs, so no need to play just bolt on

i'll keep an eye out for a cheep setup for you though
