| has pooped his pants | 2.4 Engine Mount Hi all, Right, I'm trying to track down my mysterious squeek from the engine bay and I'm looking at the engine mount on the timing side of the engine. I've had a look at it and I'm able to pass my finger in between the rubber of the chassis mount and the arm of the engine support... which concerns me. I assumed the metal of the mount and the metal of the engine support arm would be seperated by a large moulded piece of rubber. On mine, I'm able to put my finger essentially through the rubber. Is the mount a rubber two piece? (one piece for the mount and the other for the support arm) It's hard to explain but I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how the mount is meant to look and work?

| Re: 2.4 Engine Mount May not relate, but I found the source of annoying engine compartment squeak to be an unused cable clamp rubbing on the gearbox casing (nearside, accessible under the wheelarch liner).
