Re: Red led stop blinking

Guys
I smash the indicator and it start working .
But just day or two , and i smash them again to start working, etc...
My question is, is it possible to extract the peace of plastic where is placed red indicator? I think that is problem with the cable close to the indicator.

Basically the lock button is very close to where you put your thumb when starting the car (especially if done in a hurry).

I've lost track of how many times I've done it
It's actually happened in the middle of driving with my hand no where near the ignition. Hasn't happened recently though.

Plus, if I'd accidentally hit the central locking button, wouldn't it lock the doors and not just activate the LED?

Yes; as you say it locks all the doors and the click/clunk you hear is the giveaway.

....but never had mine behave as you describe

Mine did it tonight, unlocked the car, got in, went to put my seat belt on and the LED is still flashing even though the doors are unlocked! Crazy

Re: Red led stop blinking

Don't view it as a serious fault though, just a niggle. Haven't had any other electrical issues other than an intermitent check engine caused by a loose cable (dealer's words, not mine), which again hasn't happened in some months. Maybe the car's healing itself somehow

Agreed its not major Mine also heals itself, had a grinding electric window a few months ago, now it magically is ok again

Is this before you turn on the ignition?

I ALWAYS turn on ignition before starting to put my seat belt on as that way all the CHECKs are completed by the time you start the engine.

My door led sometimes comes on if I start the the car in a hurry (not waiting for "Checks Complete") but after realized I was most likely stabbing the lock button with my thumb.

Personally speaking, I always start the car, then put my seat belt on. It's just habit I guess *shrugs*. That said, I don't necessarily wait for all the checks to complete. Almost always get a "Low Fuel" warning, but that's just cause I'm a stingy git

Re: Red led stop blinking

I find the chance of false errors being reported is greatly reduced if you do wait and for me it's now a force of habit.
  1. Key into ignition
  2. Ignition on
  3. Put seat belt on
  4. Start engine
Been doing that for years and you quickly get used to it

The LOW FUEL beep is certainly the worst with prices as they are
