re: Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

The softwares like Autodata o workshop say that I need the Examiner to erase abs error or advertising airbag error.
I send data of airbag operation.Lateral, Frontal, sensor passenger and clockspring. All data that I send you are written in spanish.
I wait your answer
Thanks

No you don't. Both ABS and airbag faults will clear when the fault is fixed. No resetting is needed for any Stilo faults.

I have looked into this and it is not right.
Maybe the old Bravo/ Punto used this system. What is describes is an industry standard occupant DETECTOR system, not a CLASSIFICATION system as used in the Stilo. A detector tells the Airbag system if someone is sitting in the seat. The classification system tells the airbag ECU if it is an adult, a child (under 30KG weight), or the seat is empty.
The BMW sensor is an occupant Detector only.

Stilos use a PWM signal to the airbag ECU. I hope to do further work on this in the future as mine is broken and I am definitely not paying fiat for a new sensor.

re: Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

I did. That is not what is in the Stilo. The 100 ohm / 400 ohm switch describes a standard switch used by all european manufacturers. An occupant detector works in this way and so does the passangers airbag on/ off switch in the dash.

The OCS fitted to a Stilo passengers seat is different.

re: Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

plus, minus easy to work out,

sperrdiode is insulating diode, the resistor is probably just that, a 100ohm resistor, doesnt quopte any more details.

the rest is pretty obvious i think, to translate the text try

re: Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

Today I went to the shop to buy this parts, but they asked me for more details about the 'resistor' and 'the insulating diode' (for example: how many Watts(for the resistor))

re: Emulating the Passenger OCS sensor

Resistor wise just get a 1/2watt metal film 120ohm resistor, as for the diode try a 1N5349 or similar should do it.

Both available from maplins/RS/farnells. I have no idea if it works as I have working airbags.
