Hi ALL

Stilo 1.9JTD 115bhp 02 reg

Any advice please, looked through lots of threads but can only find bits.

Engine fault light on and had the car checked a couple of times to reset faults but with no success.

Engine light came on first and the computer said Turbo pressure. I had a loose pipe and when i looked further the pipe was split. Replaced the turbo pipe and renewed the air filter. Turbo turning OK and the actuator connecting to the turbo was moving OK.
Cleaned out the MAF. seems to be OK

Went back for recheck and still Turbo pressure and unable to reset this fault.

I have moved the EGR(turbo boost solenoid??) from below the headlight and now next to to the battery. How do you know if this is at fault?

Also the EGR connects to another valve /solenoid at the back of the engine. what is this??

Have check the pipes for leaks and appear to be OK.

Any help to get this turbo working again and to go faster than 3000 rpm.

Thanks for your help, previous info from you all has been very useful.

Other fault is airbag fault light. will post another thread.

That is not your EGR valve. It is the overboost valve you are refering too.

The EGR valve is located on the rear of the inlet manifold at the top of the engine. Take it off and clean it as it is probably stuck open.

Sounds like typical overboost valve fault to me (this is the part you've moved).

Are you sure the valve is good and are you certain you don't have any leaks in the thin tubing that connects to it?
