The white plastic adjusters are 8mm if memory serves me right.

Make sure it is the correct size and a snug fit as they do round fairly easily.

Yeah it has been fittied correct took the battery out and battery housing to get into it saves ripping my arm to shreads on th e plastic its just pointing up a bit just need to lower it will do tomorrow and if I need help will get back

Hi guys sorry to rehash an old thread but i too am having problems with headlight. Both have the electric motors, both seem to be dazzling airplanes with the drivers side seemingly dead and the passenger whirring away.

Ive tried turning the white adjustors but nothing seems to be moving at all so what to do? Do the electric motors need to be removed to allow adjustment and if so how do you remove them?

Hi guys
Stilo 1.4 2004. Headlight beam on offside not right and trying to manually adjust per the advice on this thread by turning the white adjusters bit doesn't seem to have any obvious effect? Any ideas anyone? Didn't think my car has the motor which is mentioned in this thread but not sure.....? Cheers and thanks in advance for any responses.

Tried the adjusters again in the semi dark just in case I wasn't noticing movement in the bright daylight, but no, nothing moving. Both up and down and left to right adjusters don't seem to work which I thought was a bit odd? Both adjusters turn freely but seemingly to no good effect. Any ideas, or am I missing something obvious?
Cheers and thanks.

Ah! The motor is on cars with onboard headlamp adjustment which I don't think I have on mine (1.4 Active), do I?

As far as I know, all Stilos have the motors. If you have the optional Xenon HID headlamps, you will not have onboard adjustment because they are automatically adjusted from load sensors on the front and rear suspension. If you have the standard filament bulb headlamps, they will be adjustable up and down by 2 buttons on the MODE switch panel.

Possibly the plastic ball joints inside the headlamps have become detached from their sockets. Would be strange for all 4 to have gone though.
