Hi everyone, i have a few questions about subwoofer and battery.

About a month ago, i bought an Active Subwoofer in Halfords, and i was hoping it would fit on my 2002 stilo(the day when i bought it, i asked them would it fit on my stilo, they said YES), but the day i went for the fittment, the halfords guy told me that he couldn't fit the subwoofer on, the problem was he couldn't find a way connecting the subwoofer to the battery. when i heard that i was so surprise, they were the one who told me they could fit it on.........and the guy also told me that he has been fitting on subwoofer for many cars for nearly 8 years, and if he can't fit it on then there is no way to do it, unless make a new hole to connect to the battery(but they don't do it in halfords).

can anyone please tell me how to connect the subwoofer to the battery?? is there any way to do so?? if yes, please tell me how to do it. coz i saw many people's stilo have fitted subwoofer in.

I also have one more question, please if anyone who can answer.

i want to know if Fiat local dealer will sell and fit in the Factory Subwoofer which some stilo have already fitted in when they bought it. i'm thinking i may fit a factory sub rather than an aftermarket one. do anyone know how much the Factory Sub cost and how much to fit it in by the dealer???

100000000000000 Thanks...............!!:)

I have the factory fit sub in my car (which I'm currently replacing with a pioneer sub) the wiring comes down the left side of the car running under the floor where it meets with the door. Apparently the factory fit wiring isn't good enough for an after market sub so I've got to re-wire mine, you may be as well getting this done as well, even if you fit the Fiat model, then you won't have to re-wire if you upgrade in the future.

hes been fitting subs for 8 years and cant find that grommet?
and halfords do drill holes, i just inform them if i cant find a way through to the bulkhead i have to make a way and much like yourself the customer usually says ok. guy at halfords must of been on his man-period or something. idiots in ripspeed annoy me, shouldnt be in that department

the guide is brilliant, you shouldnt have any bother, grommet is directly behind the centre console. best to remove it, cut a wee notch in it feed the wire through then install the grommet again and possibly fill the gap with a bit of sealer, you would be suprised as to how much difference this made in terms of sound proofing. everything else is self explanatory in the guide (y)
