GSR Induction & Remap

So, I've been thinking about getting the GSR induction kit for my car. but im thinking I might get the remap done at the same time. From what I'm led to believe there is a good differece...? Could people tell me what sort of difference there would be, i know the numbers (bhp increase etc) but what does this realy mean? is their noticable power difference? top speed? is fuel consumption increased? does it sound better?

So I found this site:
http://www.gsr-uk.co.uk/engineering/...t/fiat_sti.htm

But they also sell the GSR kit on www.performancestilo.com, and on there you get a 10% discount. But they don't do the remaps on there yet they are still "coming soon"

So my question is, Do I go for both the remap and induction kit? or just get the induction? and, where is the best place to get this stuff.

Cheers in advance

Re: GSR Induction & Remap

its best to come along to a rolling road day
get induction then a map to get the most from it, get more torque thats the thing that gets you up hills with out having to change down gears.

Re: GSR Induction & Remap

So what am i best doing then? buying the induction from performancestilo.com and then going to a rolling road day and doing the remap there?
Or can i buy the induction at a rolling road day?
What sort of price am i looking at for remap?

Re: GSR Induction & Remap

Best to go along to the RR day, and have them both fitted on the day, and RR'd as well before and after

Cheers Stu, that being the case I couldn't justify the expense for the gains.

Re: GSR Induction & Remap

get it fitted at RR day, loads of people seemed to help out with each other last one, Dave had his mitts on near everyones car lol, they sound fantastic and even without remap i had a noticable power difference, lot more bottom end,

Just got your message too, i havent got a clue if the K&n panel for a 1.6 would fit a 1.4, sorry

You say that, But, My car is 95bhp. Induction and remap add approx 20bhp.
thats a 20% power increase for £350, worth it in my opinion.

So if i turn up at a RR day i can buy the induction there? or do i buy it before hand, then go to a RR day and have it tested, then fitted and remapped then retested?

Re: GSR Induction & Remap

That's a high expectation for a 1.4 but you never know until you try it. Even so, 20% increase on a reletively low start isn't going to give you the wow factor.

Not trying to put a damper on things but you have to be realistic.

but it certainly will make a big difference, and 20.1bhp is the typical increase for 1.4 as stated on the GSR-UK site.

So if i give oldschool a phone, find out when and where the RR day is that i will be able to get to. I can then order the kit from him and get it all done in the one day?
