setting time and date functions etc

I wonder if anyone can help please...

1) My car did not come supplied with the user handbook and i have searched google and tried to use some initiative in resetting the time and date functions on the computer but with no luck...any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

2) Also, is there anywhere you guys know that will cut a spare remote central locking key for less that £200 from a fiat dealer! Only one key was supplied from previous owner.

3) I have a cassette player in the car, the standard Fiat head unit...but would ideally like to replace this with the Fiat CD head unit rather than an aftermarket stereo with a fascia. I have had a look on eBay...but i just missed the auction where one sold. I have tried to use 247 spares but none of the breakers yard got back to me...they seem like gold dust!! Someone from Fiat quoted me about £360!!! A ridiculous amount of money for such a basic unit!

Re: setting time and date functions etc

The time and date function is set using the menu controls on the dash to the right of the steering wheel. Just keep pressing the mode button untill it reaches the time/date selsection then press mode again to get into it. After that, its like setting a normal digital clock. I think its calles mode or menu one of the two. Its the round button in the middle

Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong but you will have to go to fiat for the key as even if you managed to obtain one elsewhere you still need it programmed for your car, which i think is a Fiat only thing

Re: setting time and date functions etc

Thanks very much for all the help, i do really appreciate it. I should have looked back through the forum for similar questions regarding setting the time and date and i will dod this in future. I remember my mate managed to get loads of functions via the mode button when he was having a look at the car....and i couldnt work out how he had managed do do thisand neither could he! Then i read on here and it said on some post a while back that i need to set the time and date etc when the vehicle is stationary....which of course i wasn't!
