new high power battery -stilo

i have a 2002 stilo 1.6

i want a higher output battery ,as when my sub kicks in on the bass punch the interia lights dim a little

i think the battery i have is a 45amp battery


would there be a problem fitting a 60amp or even a 80 amp battery


would there be a problem with the alternator?

i will add a capacitor to my amp system also 1farad i think i will use

i think a higher output alternator would be better (a jtd one) as you will still be charging the larger batt at the same rate with the existing alternator so will still get the same problem,
you only need a larger batt if you use the stereo with the engine off and then when driving leave it off so the batt can charge

I put a higher power battery on my 1.2 back in jan 2006. Nothing else changed and all ok since. The battery I put in was ref 075 from memory.
wheras the 'book' said fit a 063.

Yep, I've put a 75 amp/hr battery in mine. Works a treat and cured the gremlins behind numerous occurances of flat battery too...

i will o for the 75amp battery first

if that doesnt cure the flashing lights,then i will try a higher alternator also
