| Checking balance of manufacturers warranty Could anyone help me with this ? I have seen a Stilo (03 REG) that I would like to buy. There are 17,000 miles on clock. It is for sale with car supermarket and was an import. Was first reg in UK May 04 with Fiat UK. The car supermarket has no service book to pass on to me. I have told them I am not willing to buy the car with no evidence of service history. They said they will ring the place where they 'sourced' the car and check it out. If there is no service manual stamped up is there any other evidence that can be supplied to me that the car was in fact serviced at 12,000 miles and that the warranty would stand up for a further year??

| I'm not 100% sure but the cars computer tells you how long to the next service, mine says it was last serviced 11817 miles and its next is due in 180 days. Any Fiat dealer can also pull up the details I believe if it was serviced by Fiat. Thats what Fiat did when I bought mine from a non-Fiat dealer. I got a new handbook, and all documents and had a warranty repair without any difficulty at all. I did insist the selling dealer paid the warranty transfer fee though (£27.00) 52 Plate, Stilo 1.2 Active 5 door Aircon 5 Disc CD Changer
