hello all,

I have yet another stilo issue. On my 04 multiwagon, when my rear wiper is switched on, it makes an initial sweep but on it's return sticks and makes a god awful noise as though two cogs are slipping against one and other. it's like a ratchet noise? any ideas. Took it to the dealer(cleckheaton) and they said it's the motor. They can order me a new one (£90!!), and then fit it for me, labour costs to be added. I know I can get a new motor myself for 45 notes, but seeing as the arm is actually moving i didn't understand how it could be the motor. any ideas anyone??

Are you sure it it tightened correctly. You should be able to lift the cap that goes over the hub and see a nut. It could be that this is loose and that the spline that the arm fits on to is slipping.
