Hi.

I have had this warning a couple odf times on my 2003 1.9 Jtd stilo.

It seems to appear after a cold night, If you then turn the ignition off & back on, It displays Check Ok ..

The stored code says Intermittent communication.

Total Codes 001.
C1522.

Is this a Dodgey Abs sensor by any chance ??
Thanks
Dean

More likely a loose connection somewhere. When things get cold and start to warm up, you get condensation which would agitate any contact that isnt snug. Its a case of spraying all the contacts associated with this function with contact cleaner and refitting ensuring a good tight fit.

Deckchair is a dab hand with electrics and could probably give you more detailed advice.

Well hold up there, it may just be a low battery voltage firing warnings if it's just first start on a cold day but all clear on second start attempt. We can all get those, especially this time of year- I must have had 2 this week alone. If it clears on 2nd start then it's not a worry

C1522 ? Hmmm That's power steering I believe and that also doesn't get going and fires a warning if the supply voltage isn't high enough.

So it all may be just a low battery voltage.

The test circuits on the Stilo are just a bit too quick off the mark in running tests, if it just waited a little longer for everything to fire up and then test it wouldn't fire low voltage warnngs. It's just the Stilo always expects the battery to be fully charged

Can't fault the warnings though-it's always right
