I thought it was the opposite on Turbo cars as the cold air is better

On longer journeys yes (y), such as if you were to do 100 miles down a motorway.

but on my 10 miles journey to work, my car is only just about warmed through as i get there.

in the summer when it was at least 12 degrees on a morning, the car would take a matter of 4 miles to warm through.

it all depends on your journey, cars condition and many other things (y)

mines running poor MPG at the moment, combination of johnny no brand tyres and my daily commute has about 50 minutes of 5mph crawling at each end.

When I went on the Mway, i did more mileage to get to the same place, but got 40-50mpg out of it. At the moment this town driving is giving me about 35

ive noticed lately that my mpg are well down, i know that the price of fuel has shot up lately £1.08 a litre...... im getting about 70 miles for a tenner of fuel dont do long journeys dont do fill ups lol ive also noticed that once the needle hits the red it goes from the top of it into the middle within about 5 miles :( its due a service im guessing that could have something to do with it aswell ?... 53 plate 19jtd

Do we get hot weather in this country?

Only used my roof a couple of times this year and that was only to look flash.

Mines been of whenever it has been dry tbh :D

like on saturday when i went to york (y)

get wrapped up inside and you dont feel a thing.

nothing beats it when its summer though and about 25 degrees (in york city centre). skyroof open, windows down, driving anthem on the cd turned up :p

fun times

I'm getting on average anywhere between 55 and 58mpg except when others borrow it and then I get 49!

I cheat and look on petrolprices.com for the cheapest fuel near me as I'm a cheapskate who won't use Tesco as they are the dearest fuel near me. Currently it's 103.9 on the way to work so don't go out of my way too much

It wont be long before people start buying barrels of crude off ebay and refining it themselves. Give it 4 years and diesel will be £2 per litre.

Cooking oil here we come!!!! :)
