Hi Guys.

I have a Stilo 2.4 Abarth Selespeed 51 plate.
I have had so many issues with this car and the first ones appeared within 3 days of me owning it. I went back to the crappy dealer who have washed their hands of it so its now with trading standards!

The problem I had today occured 5 mins into driving. The Engine control system failure light came on and carried on flashing. I have checked my handbook and it mentions this could be the catalyst.
As soon as this happened the engine sounded odd and with it running idol at the lights it sounded `rough` and like it would stall. There was a stronger smell of sulphur than usual so I am thinking it is the catalytic converter.
Anyone had this problem at all please.

Other issues I have with this car are:
(n)
Air bag failure
Low engine oil pressure (every time on first starting)
Gearbox failure
ABS failure
ESP failure
ASR failure
Rain sensor failure
Daylight sensor failure
These are all intermitant failures

New issues
Remote central locking only works with the key, I have checked the battery and it is ok, but keyfob will not remotely unlock or lock the doors.

Windscreen wipers work when they want to and do not reset in the down position, they remain upright

Other issues again intermitant are:
:bang:
Drivers wing mirror does not remember setting and moves all over the place
Drivers seat does not remember position when seat is moved forward for rear passengers.
Interior light stays on
Alarm doesn't work
Sat nav
CD works when it wants to
Air con doesn't work

There are too many to list so I can't be arsed to put them all.
Anyone got any ideas about what is going on.
I have mentioned a new on board computer but garage refuses to sort it.
I have had 2 diagnostic reports done and the problems re-set but they keep coming back!

Problem are often less serious than many assume.

Are you sure you simply don't have a coil down?

Do you get the
"ABS failure
ESP failure
ASR failure"
errors only when you start or do you get them at random (when driving)?

Hi Argonought.

They come on at random times whilst driving, although I think the last time they came on it was about a couple of minutes into driving.

Cheers, I will check about the coils, been reading about them on here so been a great help
Thanks
