New Owner Here

Hi all, I have given up my brand new mondeo company car, I have taken the cash option and purchased an 03 reg Stilo 1.6 16V active. I picked it up today and i LOVE it. Its great fun to drive, bloody comfy and I love the high up seating position....

Mine has 11K on the clock so i will get it booked in for its 12K service soon....

My first question is about the fag lighter, is it bigger than most other cars... My portable dvd player fits into any other fag lighter but it just slops around in the Stilo, has anyone got any advice..

Also, i only have the cassette player and my local dealer wants over £300 for a cd changer, does anyone know what other cd changers fit or any other cd players that fit??

Cheers

Dave

Get on ebay, look out for a Stilo CD-Changer bargain. Lots of kit on ebay at times.

Hope you got a good deal on the car, have all its faults been fixed. Stilo's seem to be renouned for various niggles, if the first owner has had all the pain you will no doubt love you car.

But please.... no gripes in a few months time about how gutless your 1.6 is! :I

53 plate, Stilo 3-door, Sassy grey, Alloys to follow, 1.2 Active, 5-Disc CD-Changer -- 45mpg!

LOL, the only thing i could complain about is the lack of power, it surprised me after being in an 1.8 avensis and mondeo it does seem crap espically trying to get up a hill... The car was ex rental so alot of work will have been done, as yet i have no gripes at all...

What are the known faults... As for a bargain, i'm not sure. i paid 5.5K for it...

Cheers all

I've just had the 5 disc CD changer fitted by my local Fiat dealer for £236.00. Apparently its a special Fiat promotion.

As written above. Check e bay out before buying anything. I picked up a factory cd player. Easy to change over and works great. Cost me about £90 total to change.
