My trip computer on my Abarth reads "service overdue" but infact it was carried out only 3000miles ago but the guy who owned the car before didnt get it reset.

Ive looked through the handbook and that only tells you how to reset it if you dont have Connect+ sat nav. This is done by going through trip b. but am i right in thinking that the Connect+ system replaces the Trip B on the trip computer? I've looked throught the Connect+ handbook and cant find anything on it!?!?

Thanks guys.

Reset at dealer only or a good garage with the correct equipment ..yes another stilo pain in the arse idea :bang: the dealer does quite well out of it though :D

Would/do you work for nothing?

If you search through the stilo tech section NumanR clearly wrote out a solution!

Of course not, but i can guarantee you i wouldn't charge what they undoubtly would charge for a 5/10 minute job, and i'm not cheap!
;)

If any business invests in a expensive piece of equipment it must recover that cost & thats of expensive equipment warranties and software updates.(full kit will set you back around £6k and there are many extras on top of that aswell)

Thing is how do you know previous owner did get it serviced & if it was was it just a oil/filter change or a proper inspection?

If it was done at a fiat garage (service stamp) then get them to put it out.:)

I'm fully aware of business running costs but thanks for your insight. (y)

The first 3 stamps are by Fiat dealerships the fourth was not! I also have a small local independant fiat garage, i might give them ago!

I must admit, I would pay to get it done. Then again, my friend services my car and he has all the gear to reset the comp.

Just nice to have peace of mind.

Ask for (out of warranty) gold/silver/bronze services, info on the fiat website, think the silver is £79 (including plugs etc) but better check for yourself....includes service light:)
Quite so T1 (y)

Even a BronzeCare service @ £79 (oil & filter change plus many checks) will get your service light reset.

If you want new plugs & air filter then the SilverCare service is £119 (petrol)
