Technical Highest Mileage?

My brother averages 100K a year on his cars, he takes a lower class for tax reasons. The two Megane-II's didn't fair well bless them, he's currently in a 57 Auris with 18K which is doing well, but rattling like a bug*er!

You will often find that most japenese cars (toyotas/nissans/mitsubishis) often have very good electrics and engines that go on for miles and miles without a problem.

But when it comes to annoying rattles - they are always a problem in them :D

What tyires are you using.

Mine has just had its 3rd set of new boots at the front at 30k miles

Stilos tend to eat front tyres hence the many threads in this forum. I tried camber bolts which improved the wear a bit, laser tracking etc etc, but I think you just have to live with it.:(

Mine's around the 31,500mile mark. Got it in March '06 with around 19,000 if I remember correctly, so only 11,500 miles in a little over 2 years.

Apart from some minor bumps and scrapes on the outside, it's wearing them well (apart from the usual niggles every car has). Back tyres are still the original Continentals for example. Only had to change the front Conti's when the spring problem happened and wrecked the front passenger side. So now the fronts are on Pirelli's, which aren't the best in my opinion.

107K miles on my JTD MW. It's not without its problems though, but the engine still seems to be holding up well and not using any oil.
There must be others around with more miles than this.

89,950 on my 54 plate MW Dynamic 1.9jtd. Bought it at 10 months old with 10k on it and have added just under 80k in just over 2.5 years. Still on original clutch / exhaust etc - replaced 2 front and 1 rear spring due to "snappage" plus new Front discs at 65K. Rear axle bushes just done. I dont think thats too bad really and I quite like my "family barge" Its a comfortable and reliable drive - just keep on top of the servicing and it seems to just run and run. I'll run it until it dies which, based on my experience so far, will not be for a while yet.

Hmmmm had to think about this - bought mine at 14 months old and it's on an '03 had around 15k on it then.... now has nearly 67k on the clock.
How the miles flash by.........

Just taken my MW SORN at 135k miles. Needs some TLC (worn drive shafts) before it goes back on road. Now reduced to my Wife's 1.6 5dr....not as nice as the JTD MW, but has only got 62k miles on clock.

Hi,
94000 miles on my 1.6 Active aircon. I bought it at 8000 miles.
Had to be serviced at FIAT dealer until last year due to extended warranty (Compensation from dealer/FIAT due to difficulties getting new clutch (8 weeks I think) when gearbox went at about 12000 miles).
Usually went in to garage with one fault and came out with another!
Seems more reliable now that dealer not touching it, or maybe I have just learned to ignore all fault lights e.g. ASR, refusal to start (just wait 30 seconds then try again) .
Airbag fault light now comes on when passenger moves position. Does anyone know of a cure for this?

Nigel
I bought first FIAT Uno at 30k ran it until someone crashed into it at 120000
Tipo 70000 to 127k, Tipo 120000 to 150k

Im quite suprised, i thought there would be a good few cars on here with loads of miles.

Somone mentioned the xantia diesel early in the thread ... ive seen a number of those with 300K plus on them, they do it easy!

My 52 1.6 stilo is just about to turn 40K miles, i thought that was low :D
