(G) 12K service

Just rang the Fiat dealer in Knaresborough where I got my Stilo to book me in for a 12K service. Booked in on a saturday and asked me to leave the car at 8:30 am. Pain in the rear as I live in Beverley lol. Said ok anyhow, asked them how much.........................£275 . So told them to cancel as thats way to much for 1st service.
Booked in at local garage 2 minute walk from work, More reasonable price............£150

have a look through this thread to compair your servicing prices? Although your warrenty shouldnt be void if the local garage uses fiat OEM parts to do the service! This has always been abit of a grey area with dealerships. Be prepared though as i would imagion that your local garage also wont be able to reset your service counter as this usually can only be done by the examiner that fiat uses. I think they charge around £20 to knock this out though, depends on the delearship though

But not with the law, as long as a VAT registered garage uses genuine (or equivalent parts) to Fiat schedule
