Re: tyre size

The fiat 17's are fitted with 215/45/17 tires. Some other alloys are 205/40/17 but i'd stick with the fiat sized because there's more rubber on the road!

Re: tyre size

I had rubbing issues with 215/45 tyres on my stilo, put them down to 215/40's

Re: tyre size

Rubbing? The fiat wheels i have on are 17's but they don't even fill the arch! Its the twin 5 spoke design, i think its called the fan or blade alloys?

That is strange. As Chick said, they barely fill the arches, even with a 35mm drop.

Re: tyre size

They were the Abarth 17's Claw style wheels, they rubbed the front arch liner right thro, had a big gaping hole at one part of it. Changed to 215/40/17 and dropped it 50mm and it was fine. Also with people in the bak with the 215/45/17's whenever i went over a bump the tyres wld hit the arches

Re: tyre size

That's strange. The difference in aspect ratios works out as only 10mm

Re: tyre size

Well going to the 215/40's sorted everything. Also made the car look better with the thinner tyre wall

Re: tyre size

Yeah, even on 215/45s it still looks like there's a lot of rubber.

This page has a handy size calculator and also tells you what % you may affect your speedo reading
