Styling Window Wind Deflectors ???

Ive got a set of OEMs that i fitted the day after i bought the car new. I think they are excellent, it allows you to have the window partially open even when its raining.
these are pics i took for something else but you can see how they look. os front.JPG

Because of the size of the deflectors being very subtle on the stilo i dont think they are not really noticable unless looking for them

I bought a pair from fiat yesterday, fitted them on, look good quite subtle, was pleased until i took the car out for spin and realized that i'd spent 27 quid on a item to reduce wind noise and instead it had increased 5x.

With the window open they do reduce wind and help with rain getting in but closed on a motorway it feels like you have a sail outside your window.

i'll be taking them back pronto.

hmmm

i really really want these, but if theyre that noisy, then il have to give them a miss.

yep sorry to say they are noisy, i tried again today to give them the benfit of the doubt as it was really wet n windy first time.....they are going back.

???? when i read this i was wondering, so i went out and took them off, drove down the a127 at 70 without them (yes thats right no traffic i managed 70 on the A127 lol), then put them back on and done the same thing. Its defo not noiser. You get more of a noise when the windows are right down but when they are down by only and couple of inches you only get road noise. The design of wind deflectors are that you can have the windows open to the width of the deflectors, at motorway speeds thats more than enough volume of air to keep cool without the noise. Plus they save your interiour, window and mirror switches from getting wet when it raining and stop the front windows from freezing closed when icey. Well thats my experiance with the 5dr and ive been using them for 5 1/2 years now, i wouldnt have the car without them now, they look good in comparision to many other wind deflectors and do excatly what it says on the tin.

not sure whether i like the look of the deflectors, i think it all depends on the colour of the car, and also if it increases wind noise then they would be a nono for me.

Yeah lol, he asked for some pics for the site as he had none of the stilo, didnt realise it was up on there till you mentioned it, there you go FF got some free advertising on there.

Hope you're getting commission, especially as the Stilo is having to share the page with two considerably less desirable forms of transport

Could some one please tell me if the five door wind deflectors will fit my MW?
Thanks

Yes! Ordered my dad a 5 door pair for his MW after having fitted mine to my 5dr... have not noticed the noise issue myself but appreciate the draft free ventilation and no more screenwash on elecy switches on drivers door when window is ajar. Also figured £27 for the wind deflectors cheaper than Aircon re-gas as the A/C was un reliable on my previous Stilo :)
