Anyone got the details on the different spec's of the connect system

Does the Stilo 3dr Dynamic 1.6 16v come with the basic?

I really only want the CD player and the screen - I already have GPS and a car phone .....

Any help appreciated!

As far as I know the 1.6 Dynamic doesn't have the CD player as standard. The original specs showed that the Abarth was the only model to get the colour LCD screen but I think the Connect Nav+ option gets you this on the other models (and automatically gets you the CD player). Any Fiat dealer worth his salt should be able to give you the definitive info you require.

Only I have just received a new UK spec Stilo with Connect Nav as an option. The technical specifications brochure shows Connect Nav as having a small colour screen.

The unit I have has an amber dot matrix type screen.

So does Connect Nav come in colour or not? The dealership I purchased the car from do not know as they've never sold a Connect Nav unit before(!).

I'm a bit dubious as to what I've got exactly as the main brochure states four levels of audio system. My Connect features do not work which leads me to the conclusion the factory has installed the wrong unit.

Any more info on what the Connect Nav actually includes would be great (as I know don't trust my dealer!!!)

In Italy there are 3 versions of Connect

* Connect
* Connect NAV
* Connect NAV+

Seems that only the C. NAV+ has coluor screen...

The Connect Nav system does use a dot matrix display. In the user manual it shows the different versions and how they operate. The Connect Nav system has to be registered with the Connect centre in Italy, the dealer should have done this, but they must use a mobile phone sim card in the system as this is how Connect recognises which user is contacting them (so your dealer should have registered using your mobile sim card).
The navigation part of the system just runs off the CD so this should work ok.

Thanks for the info. The dealer certainly never registered Connect with my SIM - that I know for sure. Hopefully it's as simple as that.

I thought it was bound to be an amber screen - which means the brochure is a tad dodgy...ho hum.
