Re: again asr,esp,abs fault

Some more info would be useful
Do the warnings appear just on start up or on permanently?
What made you replace the brake light switch?
Had any work done on brakes, bearings, ABS?
If that's the right code number then
C1460 =Vehicle accelerometer power circuit failure (maybe ABS sensor)

Re: again asr,esp,abs fault

Ok I'd check out the ABS sensors and wiring especially as the fault code points in that area too. A few specialist garages besides Fiat garages can check out the ABS sensor circuits for malfunction. There are a few basic tests you can do, continuity and sometimes just undoing and reconnecting the sensor wiring connectors have done the trick.
Ha! We can dream
People have disconnected the connectors to do a circuit resistance check and found it all worked when they reconnected (ie poor contact) Also a dirty or contaminated sensor wheel will cause problems

Each sensor is just held in by one bolt and it's connector is nearby in the wheel arch

Re: again asr,esp,abs fault

Hi, with regards ABS control unit, is there any need to reset it in order to clear the warning? I had removed one of the sensors from the hub. I drove off without putting it back in. There was no ABS fault initially, then a few metres down the road the ABS Faulty warning light came on. Now it is on all the time. I've put the sensor back in but can't get the fault to clear. Does it need resetting, if so how?

Thanks

Re: again asr,esp,abs fault

Have you done your penance and carried out your 3 ignition restarts? Logged faults tend to stay there until 3 clear starts have been done.

Re: again asr,esp,abs fault

No, any amount of time is fine as long as the car has gone through its normal start up checks three times
