I have done a few posts on this subject so to cut the story short I wont go into all the detail again.
I suspected the
Maf sensor (performance not what it should be) so I bought a new replacement - fitted it and the car black smoked on occasions and kangaroo'd under light throttle. Suspected the new part so got another replacement and it still Kangaroo's and smokes.
Assuming fate cant be that cruel to give me 2 duff
Mafs there could be an explaination. The original
Maf could be open circuit causing
ECU to internally reset the sensor parameters and the new
Mafs could be good showing up a fault elsewhere and/or the
ECU might need to 'settle' to the new component.
In my Petrol days I remember the honda took about 30-40 miles to re-adjust to replacement of some sensors.
Any thoughts/ideas appreciated...
