Re: Strange Burning Smell

Any chance you could be more specific?

Like, which general area of the car it seems to be coming from.

Lightbulb Re: Strange Burning Smell

Most likely a plastic bag caught on the exhaust.

Re: Strange Burning Smell

Could it be the brakes? were you driving hard or are they catching on the discs?

Like nightsmith said you need to be more specific so we can help

Re: Strange Burning Smell

Looks like a reason to reject the vehicle to me, surely any manufacturer that can allow a black bin bag to cause a major headache such as this has no right to manufacture cars. I also think you should write to watchdog regarding this serious fault. Also I have noticed that my Stilo leaks fluid from two holes in the bonnet, usually when i move a control lever towards me as I jam my mcdonalds mcflurry between the lever and the dashboard. This is a serious problem as it effects the view from the drivers seat and makes me swerve from side to side which nearly always knocks my mcfrys over in my lap. Now if plastic bags were banned then we would not have this problem, but why should the government have to legislate for the short comings of an Italian motor manufacturer just because their vehicles cant cope with plastic bags? I say ban the vehicles instead.
