Co-driver dashboard cover

Infront of Co-driver there are two glove-compartments. Normal, lover one and the top one. On the top one I have broken mechanisem and need an replacement. hae anyone any idea how to take it out, becaus screewes are almos unposible to unscrew and I do not beliewe that there is no aother way as taking out the whole dashboard.

Thx in advance!

Re: Co-driver dashboard cover

I think it may be possible to do, although my dealership originally stated it was a whole dashboard-out jobbie...

So I gave up, and just live with the broken hinge

Can't you get access by removing the radio and centre vents?

Re: Co-driver dashboard cover

From what I remember when fitting the start button electronics, taking out the lower glovebox and massively exposing the passenger side will greatly assist with access. You'll be able to get your head up there and have enough access to remove the hinges/plate.

Re: Co-driver dashboard cover

Thats for shur! Problem is, taht screwes of this bloody cover mechanismus are in such a position ,that airbag box makes unpossible to unscrew them Solution would be to remove airbag, but that thing has two screws on th top - again unable to acces without remowing dashboard.
I spoke to technitian from Fiat garage and he confirmed my observations
