| Boot doesnt shut when opened with key fob This isnt a big problem, but if I open the boot with the key fob, it wont close. The catch sticks and I have to prise it away manually for it to shut. It's fine when I unlock it with the key. As I said, not a biggy, I wouldn't care if I had a boot lever in the car, but thought I'd see if anyone else has had this happen to theirs.

| Re: Boot doesnt shut when opened with key fob I'm a bit confused as you don't mention using the boot switch or handle above the number plate......... When you say using keyfob, i'm assuming you're holding the boot button to unlock? When you unlock car normally with central locking (with keyfob), does your boot stay locked when trying to use the boot switch/handle? If so try changing the mycar settings so boot unlocks when you unlock the doors then just use the switch/handle, you shouldn't need to use the keyfob or key after that. The manual i think tells you how. If neither works i'd try some WD40 on latch to loosen it up.

| Re: Boot doesnt shut when opened with key fob Oh yeah sorry, yeah use the remote to unlock and then the button press just above the numberplate. Didn't realise I could set the car to open the boot with the rest of the car. Maybe the same will happen as above but I shall find out. Cheers for that

| Re: Boot doesnt shut when opened with key fob Ok...now my passenger door doesnt unlock with the key fob, it's ok with the unlock button inside the car (except when used several times in succession!) and is fine unlocking/opening with the handle inside. Driver's door unlocks fine, so bang goes my theory that the battery needs changing! Bit lost now! To be totally honest, kinda happy this is the worst thing about my car! Nothing minor, everything works, just in not so many ways than before!

| Glutton for Punishment | Re: Boot doesnt shut when opened with key fob Right, 1. Boot lock; unlocking it manually with the key blade in the lock bypasses the electronic actuator which is used for the keyfob and boot handle. One can therefore assume the problem is there; beit weak motor, loose connection rod? 2. Passenger door; is the option of "Drivers Independent Lock" set to "ON" on the My Car menu? If you don't know, try repeatedly pressing the unlock button on the key; if the door opens, it's most likely set to ON and needs to be turned off for all doors to open.
