Exclamation Do I need a new throttle body?

Had the AA out earlier on becasuse I locked my keys in the car while the AA man was there, I got him to read the fault codes as engine fault had came up a few days ago. The codes that came up were;

PO460 - Fuel level sensor A circuit
PO638 - Throttle actuator contol range performance (Bank 1)

I'v done a search and found that the fuel level sensor fault tends to happen when the car is run very low on fuel. I'm not entirely sure what the second code means, I think it mgiht be the throtte position sensor.

Last time i had an engine fault come up I took it to the dealers and they adjusted the brake pedal switch, carried out a phonic wheel learn and throttle learn procedures, according to my receipt.

I was also told that if the engine fault comes up again, I'll need a new throttle body. Is this right?

Who knows? It's flagging that there's something amiss with the throttle valve movement or feedback so it could be throttle valve, the wiring, connectors, actuator, or just be out of synch and need a throttle learning process - take your pick

Re: Do I need a new throttle body?

Is this not another candidate for the throttle ECU update (unless the dealer's already done it) ?
