| popping out | Pads touching discs Are they supposed to? I think the answer is no, but jacked the car up the other day and noticed the pads are touching the discs on both front sides, I can still move the wheels easily enough but when i spin one of the wheels and let go they stop almost straight away. Could this be the reason to me warping 2 sets of discs and a whirring noise while driving?

| __________ | Re: Pads touching discs its normal, you only need a nats whiskers gap, warping can be from hard braking then sitting at the lights/junction with foot on the brake, the bit of disk trapped under foot pressure on the brakes, don't cool down as quick as the rest of the disk

| Brain freeze | Re: Pads touching discs If you had a big gap between pads and disks, you would get stones and stuff jammed in them, which would do a nice job of scoring the disk. Normal for a tiny bit of interference.

| Re: Pads touching discs Also would have loads of pedal movement before the brakes started working.
