(T) Engine Failure - Exhaust flexi corroded

Hi there....just need advice on what to do!!

Ive got a 1.2 Active 52 plate stilo. I was driving the other day and then suddenly its like engine failure. Now ive had this before but its gone off aftr a couple of minutes. but this time on its constant and keeps flashin. the car seems 2 b making a lot of noise and is very slugish and vibrating.
When i went for the product recall regarding the springs, they said from the visual check that the exhaust from flexi section to back needs replacing due to corrossin. spoke 2 kwickfit 2day - only place open in sunday and they said the exhaust does need fixing but this might not be the cause of the engine failure light. he said go to fiat for diagnostic check.....how much does this cost and how long does it take??
Do i have any other options to sort this out, since the fiat is given me too much problem and i wanna px it for a different car..

Any advice would be appreciated.

P/X as it is and lose an absolute wad of cash or fix it and keep it (that's my choice but then I don't like throwing money away)

You’ve got to spend some money on a car
