| Hi and a question about the computer Yeah newbie love my 51 plate Stilo, will be getting a newer one next year. After reading about 60 of the 80 odd pages of threads on these boards i wanna say to all the moaning gits Fiat and most European cars all share some sorta problem these days. It's not exclusive to Fiat you know !! If you wanna get superior quality buy Japanese. Anyway i have question. Car spluttered warning lights blah blah... Soon realized it could be the coils which it was, two of them. Hokey dokey changing them is simplicity in itself but the engine warning light is still there. Now i know the problem is fixed as it now runs like a dream once again but how do i clear the engine fault sign ? So is there anyway of clearing the fault signal myself somehow ? According to my local Fiat dealership though it's fixed the engine fault signal needs to be cleared. Paying £35.00 to tell the computer it's fixed seems like highway robbery to me. And the fact they will need the Car for a whole day for something which should only take 5-10 mins to do is a double whammy.

| 5vp3r m0d | Re: Hi and a question about the computer How many times have you driven it since replacing the coils? I have had 2 coils go on mine recently - the light does stay on UNTIL about the 3rd time [or thereabouts ] - once it senses there are no more faults present, it should go off on its own accord.
