Re: coil prices

try here if you can wait for delivery, gives you product codes on website.
Cheapest place (other than e-bay)
Just replace the faulty coil, not all 4.
Replace with Champion (as on website below) do not replace with Sagem.

Re: coil prices

If one has gone, id imagine general consensus is that more are likely to follow, so personally i would (and did when i had one go on my 1.6) change all 4 from the sagem to champion coils.

I cant for the life of me remember how much they were though, for some reason i have a figure of about £20 a go in my head

Re: coil prices

Hi There -

Just ordered mine from shop4parts, cost £79 for 2 coil packs. Did ask what make they were and he said they were the orginal #Fiat parts.

I asked for Champion as recommended by everyone here, but apparently all they sell is original parts.

They should arrive tomorrow, so will post what make they are. Just hope they are not the Sagen ones.

Re: coil prices

I recently replaced 2 coils on my 1.6, I bought them from a Fiat dealer and they turned out to be Champion ones. I can only imagine that Fiat have changed to Champion themselves.

Re: coil prices

The 3 I have replaced have been Bosch - 2 failed recently at 50k miles, I need to buy another 2 to make it a full set.

Re: coil prices

Thanks for all your comments on the coil packs. Most interesting the various different packs that everyone is getting. The guy at #Shop4parts assured me that the packs they were sending me would be genuine #Fiat parts. So will post tomorrow what ( or if - think he is sending by Royal Mail ) the make of the coils will be.

Hope you are not too snowed in where you are. CUL

Re: coil prices

He is getting confused, these are coils - NOT coil packs.

Re: coil prices

Hi de Hi -

Sorry about the confusion over the "coil packs" - it should have read 'Coils' -
That's what you get when you don't chew your food right.

Anyway back to the 'Coils' I ordered yesterday from #shop4parts.

They duely arrived at noon today and were the champion make. The invoice says they cost £31.51 each. Plus vat and shipping for 2 = £77.51.

I must give top marks to #shop4parts for their service. Arrived as stated and were really helpful on the phone. Did try the internet to order, but you have to register with them, after I did, the order form with cc details appeared to be on an unsecure page. So gave it a miss in the end.

Thanks to those that passed on the link to them.

Still no news from the garage on my parts for the 'Spring Recall' -

but thats another story. Regards

Re: coil prices

Just ordered 2 more for my Stilo - having had 3 already go on me, I may put these straight in - mileage is around 52k.

Anyway, I am getting them from my dealership - £79 for 2; shop4parts price for 2 delivered £78.64.
