| Noise in side airbag / seatbelt I noticed a small vibration noise, sounds like a ball bearing rolling about! Coming from my passenger side airbag, where the seatbelt comes out. Only when going along bumpy roads or when over 50mph! My wife said theres no way we should have the dealer investigate it as they'll only make it worse or break something else which I tend to agree with after previous experiences and it can't be heard unless you listen for it, but you know those sounds that once you know they are there? Any ideas what it could be? How easy does that middle panel come off it looks like it is stuck under the door seals! I reckon I should just get used to it and prepare for many more vibrations if my Punto was anything to go by! Thanks March '04, 5 dr Stilo Active & Sept '00, HLX 5 dr Punto.

Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: (0) | I get that to but on the drivers side!!!!!!!! Sometimes it`s worse than others but after a while I`ve learned to ignore it. I have heard it mentioned before on the Forum, some people have described it as a creaking comming from the B post. Mine is going in to be investigated on the 13th so I`ll post what they say. I never hear it on a smoothe road no matter what speed I`m doing. The worst time I hear it is when comming off my drive which is on a hill and the car is subject to a twisting force. 1.8 5 Door in Sassi Grey Comfort Pack 1

| Its not a creaking, definatley like metal on metal and its inside that airbag/seatbelt compartment. Currently not going to get it looked at, let me know on the 13th what they say. Cheers March '04, 5 dr Stilo Active & Sept '00, HLX 5 dr Punto.

| Went out in a test drive Stilo today and it creaks & vibrates loads more than mine! Dealer said they could take mine apart but couldn't guarantee finding source of 'within acceptable limits' noise! Tried the 3 new Astras at work all with under 1k on clock and they also all had little vibrations inside coming from different places! So I reckon I have to face facts all cars have something that vibrates if you go along with no stereo on and listen carefully! March '04, 5 dr Stilo Active & Sept '00, HLX 5 dr Punto.

Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: (0) | Yep sounds about right, you've got a rattle, no suprise, best bet/recommendations on here are to ignore it. Not because it can't be fixed, but because gash Fiat spanner monkeys will only go and make it worse! B) What you'll need to do is get someone to drive the car, you sit in the back and find exactly (within a few inches) of where the noise is coming from, then you might have a decent chance of the garage fixing it! Of course they won't believe you, but if you get their service manager to sit in the back and listen for the noise right where you tell him where it is you might get some joy! ;) 53 plate, Stilo 3-door, Sassy grey, Alloys to follow, 1.2 Active, 5-Disc CD-Changer -- 45mpg!
