| 1.2 active original mirror replacement Hello all, yet again i have been pressed into servicce to sort out my fiance's car. someone kindly ripped off her driver side wing mirror outside her flat last night, a quick call to my local fiat dealer and its £120.00 plus vat to replace. the annoying thing is that there is no damage at all to the mirror. The base seems to be connected through the door via some gold coloured fixings that screw / fix into the plastic of the base- its these plastic "lugs" that have snapped meaning the only option is a replacement mirror unit. I would be happy to replace myself but wondered if it was worth adding some slightly sexier aftermarket items father than another original spec one. my main worry with this is will the electrics match up and work ok? i seem to remember that when fiddling with door panels when fitting her alpine speakers that fiat used its own special connector so presumably fitting aftermarket ones would require me to modify the connection? any help / advice anyone?

| The modfather | No not necessarily so as long as you buy the exact replacement mirrors with the same functions as the original ones ..there are some chrome ones on eBay for sale at the moment

| Hasta la victoria siempre | I got one here, http://www.allpartssouthwest.com/aca..._STILO_87.html saved a fortune on dealer price- and matched the paint at Halfrauds for less than a tenner- getting inside the door to put the wire in can be a pain, there's a thread here about when I did it, I'll have a look and see if I can find it, if you still need it?
